Post-Treatment Guidelines
General Post-Treatment Instructions for All Peels:
- Sun Protection: Avoid direct sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily. Wear a wide-brimmed hat when outdoors.
- Hydration: Keep your skin well-hydrated by using a gentle, hydrating moisturizer.
- Avoid Irritants: Do not use retinoids, AHAs, BHAs or other exfoliating products for at least one week after the peel or as directed by your provider.
- Hands Off: Do not pick or peel the skin as it flakes off to avoid scarring or infection.
- Gentle Cleansing: Use a gentle cleanser to wash your face and avoid hot water; instead, use lukewarm water.
Superficial Peels:
- Post-Treatment: Expect mild redness and flaking for a few days. Use a gentle moisturizer and avoid exfoliating products for about a week.
- Recovery Time: Typically, 1-7 days.
Medium Peels:
- Post-Treatment: You may experience redness, swelling and peeling for up to a week. Apply a soothing ointment or moisturizer as recommended by Dr Crook.
- Recovery Time: Typically, 7-14 days. Avoid strenuous exercise for the first few days to reduce the risk of swelling.

- Follow-Up: Schedule follow-up appointments as recommended to monitor your skin's healing process and address any concerns.
- Diet and Hydration: Maintain a healthy diet and stay hydrated to support skin healing from within.
