Consultation: Schedule a consultation to discuss your skin concerns, goals and medical history with our skincare specialist. This helps in selecting the appropriate peel for your skin type and condition.
Skin Preparation: For 1-2 weeks before your peel, avoid using products containing retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) and other exfoliating agents unless otherwise directed by your provider.
Sun Protection: Minimize sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily to protect your skin.
Hydration: Keep your skin well-hydrated and avoid using new skincare products that might irritate your skin.
Medications: Inform your provider about any medications you are taking, as some might need to be paused before the peel.
Superficial Peels:
Preparation: No major preparation is needed beyond the general guidelines.
Avoid: Waxing, shaving or using depilatory creams on the treatment area for at least 48 hours before the peel.
Medium Peels:
Preparation: Follow the general guidelines and use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer in the days leading up to your peel.
Avoid: Cosmetic treatments like microdermabrasion or facial scrubs for at least a week before the peel.
